
Now owned by Harrah's Entertainment, the Grand Casino had three locations; namely, Gulfport, New Orleans and Tunica. Caesar's Entertainment properties once, the latter two casinos now are being converted to the Horseshoe Brand.
From games like blackjack to the fast action to the fast action of craps, the New Orleans location features some 2,100 slot machines, 10 varieties of table games at more than 100 tables and 20 poker tables at its 115,000 square feet gaming destination.
Once known as the Grand Casino Tunica, the casino underwent a name change and is now the new Harrah's Tunica Casino. It offers 24 hour gaming action with more than 60 table games and 2000 slots.
The Grand Casino Gulfport was destroyed by the Hurricane Katrina. As the casino barge was washed ashore and was partially blocking Beach Boulevard, authorities were left with no choice but to implode the casino in an effort to clear the road. Harrah's Entertainment had since sold the site to Gulfside Casino Partnership.
